I was not able to sleep as I worry about my baby gal. But I was overly tired as I didnt sleep at all at the observation ward. The epidural effect was slowly wearing off and I could feel the pain. It was 3.00am in the morning and after having some light refreshments, I started to vomit. One moment, I was shivering intensively due to the aircon and the next moment, I was feeling very warm. I was told that I am having fever. Medicines were given for my fever and pain.
Guess those were the effect of epidural
The next morning
TMC have a regulation, they do not allow patients to get out of bed ourselves after delivering. A nurse will have to accompany us. But I was stubborn, I tried to get out of bed myself and was reprimand by the nurse..:p
I told the nurse I am feeling itch all over my body and the itch was terrible!! I need a bath!! Initially, I thought I was dirty but nurse said it another effect of epidural. Nevertheless, I still insisted on my bath. Afterwhich, i went on the nursery hopping to see Baby Allivier. The nurse told me she is still in the special care and ask me to return to my ward first.
Shortly after I returned to my ward, Dr Koey came. He told me that baby Allivier's condition is good and she can return to the nursery. The nurse then brough her to my room, then only I felt relieved. Thanks god for looking after my gal...:)
